OVERVIEW

Micro-Grid refers to a small power generation and distribution system composed of distributed power sources, energy storage devices, energy conversion devices, loads, monitoring and protection devices, which can be classified into the categories of AC Micro-Grid, DC Micro-Grid and AC/DC hybrid Micro-Grid. Considering unreliable power supply in remote areas and the requirements for grid-connected and off-grid demonstration by universities/enterprises, CYG SUNRI has developed targeted overall Micro-Grid solutions and related products, which can effectively improve the reliability of power supply and the stability of Micro-Grid.

APPLICATION SCENARIOS
(1) Off-grid Micro-Grid: It is mainly used in remote areas, islands and other areas not covered by power grid or with unstable grid. The off-grid Micro-Grid systems are mainly applied overseas; (2) Grid-connected/off-grid Micro-Grid: It is mainly used for demonstration by universities, government agencies and enterprises.

(1) Equipped with the control technology which can balance multi-power generation volatility and ensure load power supply stability, this solution cannot only ensure reliability of power supply, but also improve the utilization rate of renewable energy and reduce fuel consumption;

(2) It has fast grid-connected/off-grid switch control technology. According to our engineering practices, the seamless grid-connected/off-grid switch time of our system is less than10ms, while related standard requires this switch time to be no more than 20ms;

(3) Equipped with the energy-storage inverter voltage source control technology, based onthe improved virtual impedance droop control algorithm,parallel operation with multiple voltage sources can be achieved;

(4) Based on the mature protection and control platform and the shelf technology of CYG SUNRI, the maturity and reliability of platform have been fully proved in the operation of protection, measurement and control devicesin thousands of intelligent substations,and the operational stability of Micro-Grid system can be effectively ensured.
