The smooth operation of the last main transformer of Yongxiang Polysilicon 110kV Xiangwei Substation on September 26th marked the completion of the production resumption project of Sichuan Yongxiang Polysilicon Co., Ltd. after the flood disaster, of which Qicheng Electric Power (a subsidiary of CYGSUNRI) was responsible for emergency rescue as the general contractor of the EPC project.
On August 18th, a once-in-a-century catastrophic flood disaster stroke Leshan, Sichuan Province, which was also the biggest flood since hydrological records began in Leshan area.As many urban areas were flooded and people were trapped in several places, Class I flood control emergency response was launched for the first time in Sichuan history. Yongxiang Polysilicon 110kV Yongxiang II Substation and 110k Xiangwei Substation in Wutongqiao District, Leshan City were flooded, and the substation sites became a mess. Primary equipment and secondary equipment such as the main transformer, main control room, outdoor terminal box and circuit breaker spring operating mechanism, were all underwater, so that Yongxiang Polysilicon was forced to stop production completely. Yongxiang Polysilicon is a leading enterprise in the field of high-purity crystalline silicon, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons, ranking the top three in China. After the flood hit the company, its production was stopped, which put forward faster and higher requirements for restoring power supply guarantee.
In order to help Yongxiang Polysilicon resume production as soon as possible, Qicheng Electric Power, together with CYGSUNRI and CYG Design (a subsidiary of CYGSUNRI), took over the emergency repair tasks of the two substations in the first place. The required secondary equipment was provided by CYGSUNRI, and the emergency drawings were made by CYG Design on site. Qicheng Electric Power was responsible for the overall implementation of the project.
There were 4 110kV lines, 6 main transformers and more than 160 10kV switch cabinets in the 110kV Yongxiang II Substation and the 110kV Xiangwei Substation. The emergency repair period was tight and the workload was heavy. As the general contractor of the EPC project, Qicheng Electric Power put its elite forces to the repair task, and the project management team carefully organized the engineering, rationally arranged and planned the progress, and finally completed the emergency repair within 30 days. It provided power guarantee for Yongxiang Polysilicon's post-disaster reconstruction, helped Yongxiang Polysilicon resume production in the shortest time, and reduced the huge losses caused by power outage.
