In the first half of 2020, the power grid construction projects in the "Three areas and Three Prefectures" severely impoverished areas in Qamdo, Naqu and other cities were completed, which marks the successful completion of power grid construction in the "Three Districts and Three States" severely impoverished areas in Tibet, providing strong power support for helping local people get rid of poverty. The electricity use of 672,000 farmers and herdsmen in 4860 villages in Tibet will also be solved and improved.
The "Three areas and Three Prefectures" power grid construction project in Tibet started in 2018, which is a major livelihood project of the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" power grid construction, and another major deployment of the Party Committee and Government of Tibet Autonomous Region and the State Grid Corporation to thoroughly implement the CPC Central Committee and the State Council's poverty alleviation in severely impoverished areas. The project includes 109 substations, of which more than 60 are new substations.
For the "Three areas and Three Prefectures" severely impoverished areas in Tibet, because of natural environment and other factors, tens of millions of people have no access to electricity. After the completion of the " Three areas and Three Prefectures" project, local farmers and herdsmen will have access to electricity, which will effectively solve the problems of poor local power quality, low power supply reliability and prominent contradiction between power supply and demand, so as to eliminate the bottleneck of power shortage that affects people's lives and restricts the leap-forward development of the region, and provide strong power guarantee for local economic and social development.
Among the more than 60 new substations in the "Three areas and Three Prefectures" project in Tibet, CYGSUNRI’s products are fully applied to 35 substations in Shigatse, Qamdo, Linzhi, Ali and other regions, including a series of products in transformer protection, line protection, capacitor protection, transformer measurement and control, bus measurement and control, time synchronization and background monitoring system, supporting the construction of power grid projects in "Three areas and Three Prefectures" and contributing to the construction of our motherland with practical actions.
