On June 30th, Changwang Energy Storage Station (8MW/16MWh) in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province was successfully connected to the grid, which is the largest energy storage power station connected to the grid so far.
Zhenjiang Changwang Energy Storage Power Station is located in the ex-service 35kV Changwang Substation. The construction scale of the project is 8MW/16MWh, and lithium iron phosphate batteries are used, which are connected to the 10kV side of 110kV Changwang Substation through a 10kV line. Changwang Energy Storage Station is one of the eight energy storage stations implemented by Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd. in the east of Zhenjiang, After the project is put into operation, it can provide various services such as peak shaving, frequency regulation, standby, black start and demand-side response for power grid operation, promote peak-load shifting of Zhenjiang power grid, effectively relieve the power supply pressure of Zhenjiang eastern power grid in summer of 2018, and provide strong support for Jiangsu power grid to build a large-scale friendly interactive system among source, network, load, storage.
Changwang Energy Storage Station is equipped with CYGSUNRI PRS-3000 energy storage monitoring and energy management system. The system models the network topology for the whole station to realize the real-time monitoring, control and alarm functions of the whole station equipment, and the system response dispatching plan curve realizes the millisecond control response of AGVC at the station end, and carries out multi-dimensional energy management such as SOC maintenance, diagnosis & early warning, panoramic analysis, etc. The system has passed multiple tests by State Grid Electric Power Research Institute, Jiangsu Electric Power Research Institute and Ketop Laboratory, and it will escort the continuous, efficient and stable operation of the power station.
