On November 25th, the protection and replacement of No. 3 main transformer of Shenzhen 110kV Bantian Substation was completed, and the No. 3 main transformer started to transmit power to the grid, which marked the opening of the first EPC technical innovation project jointly implemented by CYGSUNRI and its subsidiaries Qicheng Electric Power and CYG Design, and it was also the first extended service transformation and commissioning project of China Southern Power Grid’s equipment EPC pilot.
The original main transformer protection equipment of Shenzhen110kV Bantian Substation has been in operation for 15 years, which exceeds its service life, and it is urgent to transform the original panel. In order to speed up the extended service protection transformation, the Power Dispatching Control Center of China Southern Power Grid put forward an innovative idea of applying EPC management mode in protection transformation projects. Shenzhen Power Supply Bureau called for bids according to the requirements of the Power Dispatching Control Center. Finally, CYGSUNRI won the bid by virtue of its technical and service advantages, and it was responsible for the concrete implementation of the preliminary scheme design, on-site construction in the process and final acceptance and commissioning.
Usually, The average preparation time of protection transformation projects is as long as 4 months, By adopting the new mode of EPC, CYGSUNRI completed the operation of each link in the early stage, which shortened the preparation time to 2 months and greatly improved the efficiency. The process of construction, installation and equipment debugging was professional, reliable and efficient, which was superior to the debugging process of the traditional mode, and the replacement of equipment in extended service was completed, which won unanimous praise from users.
