The construction of the largest grid-side energy storage power station in China in the central urban area where land is scarce poses unprecedented challenges to the design and operation control of the power station. The full-indoor, three-dimensional and hierarchical design mode is adopted for Furong Station so that the whole energy storage power station covers an area of just 993.81m2, and the floor area per MWh is only 1/6 of that of conventional energy storage unit.
