In July 2025, the CIGRE SC B5(Protection and Automation Study Committee) colloquium was held at the International Convention Center in Osaka, Japan, gathering top protection experts in the field of power system from Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Africa. CYG SUNRI presented a technical paper on "High-Interoperability Remote Operation and Maintenance" and a technical report on "Innovative Distance Protection Technologies". Making its debut at the event, CYG SUNRI achieved dual breakthroughs in both technology and practical application, gaining international recognition.

The CIGRE SC B5 is a specialized committee dedicated to power system protection and control. The proceedings of the CIGRE SC B5 colloquium in Osaka are structured around three Preferential Subjects: "IEC 61850 based Interoperability of IEDs of different manufacturers and technologies integrated in one PACS", "PACS Life Cycle Performance and Longevity" and "Sharing of best practices on revised principles enabled by modern protection IEDs". A total of 48 papers from Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Africa were selected for inclusion.
CYG SUNRI delivered the technical paper "B5_2025_PS1_1130", sharing a comprehensive collection of typical interoperability challenges encountered in international interoperability practices and innovatively proposing a high-interoperability remote operation and maintenance solution, significantly enhancing the operation and maintenance efficiency of substations. This technical paper received high praise from the Secretary of CIGRE SC B5 and was widely recognized by experts from the UK, Japan, the UAE, Brazil, and other countries.
During the conference's poster discussion session, the SUNRI team engaged in deep exchanges with authors and experts from around the world on cutting-edge topics, including:"AI-Enabled Automatic Configuration", "Protection of Hybrid Transmission Lines" and "FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)". These discussions showcased the company's profound technical expertise and forward-looking industry vision.

At the Group Discussion Meeting, CYG SUNRI presented a special technical report on "New Perspectives on Distance Protection in New Power System". The presentation introduced groundbreaking approaches and practical solutions to address the challenges faced by conventional protection technologies in next-generation power system scenarios, winning enthusiastic applause from the participating experts.
