On April 13, 2022, CYG SUNRI contributed to the official operation of the 33kv mobile substation in Malaysia. The project has been successfully connected to an old substation, and will provide strong support for the old substation to realize transformation with uninterruptible power supply.
A mobile substation is a small substation that integrates the electrical primary and secondary equipment on one or more semi-trailers. It is characterized by complete functions, small footprint, flexibility, and a wide range of application scenarios. As an effective emergency power supply equipment, it can meet requirements of temporary, periodical and emergency power supply, and can be used in various scenarios. When the substation is upgraded and reconstructed, the mobile substation can replace the reconstructed equipment and put into operation, thus the power outage time can be greatly reduced; In high-load seasons or periods, or for large-scale temporary events or project construction, the mobile substation can supplement power supply in some areas; In case of sudden natural disasters, the mobile substation can be put into operation instead of the substation to restore power supply quickly.

The 33kV mobile substation of Malaysia is in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. As the general contractor of the project, CYG SUNRI provided 2 cabins (one is 33kV and the other is 11kV). The cabins are equipped with systems such as video monitoring, FS6 monitoring, temperature and humidity monitoring systems to facilitate remote monitoring. It is not necessary to choose functions or equipment in a limited space. In view of the limited space of the cabins, CYG SUNRI creatively used top-hung and bottom-hung doors to expand the operation and maintenance platform. In addition, CYG SUNRI modified the trailer to facilitate operation and maintenance.
After the start of the project, CYG SUNRI actively coordinated all suppliers and relevant personnel in project design, drawing approval, production, FAT, shipping, customs clearance, overseas transportation and on-site commissioning. The COVID-19 pandemic make many easy tasks become difficult. However, CYG SUNRI overcame all difficulties and successfully delivery the project with high-quality services.
In the future, CYG SUNRI will continue pursuing the mission of "promoting safer and easier use of energy", constantly improve product technology and service quality, facilitate safe and stable operation of power systems, and contribute to the intelligent and professional development of the industry!
