In order to further build a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient energy utilization system and deepen the strategy of sustainable development, Changyuan Group held the kick-off meeting for the path planning project of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality on the afternoon of March 31, 2022, and 81 subsidiaries of the Group attended the meeting, jointly beginning the path towards low-carbon sustainable development.
At the meeting, Sun Meiyang, director of the Chairman's Office delivered a speech on behalf of the Group: As a listed company, Changyuan hopes to take the initiative to join the pioneers in achieving the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals from the perspective of fulfilling social responsibility. As the leader of this strategic project, the Group hopes to strengthen energy consumption management by formulating a scientific and reasonable carbon neutrality plan; In addition, we will also accumulate project experience for the industry, build industry benchmarks, make the Company's brands and products stand out, and create greater value by using the carbon neutrality strategy. In the future, after the path planning is clearly defined, carbon emission reduction will be gradually incorporated into the enterprise management and business development planning, and the Company will achieve the carbon neutrality goal in the most suitable way.
Hou Lin, executive deputy general manager of CYG Sunri, said: We hope to assist the Group to comprehensively identify the source of greenhouse gas emissions and sort out the carbon emissions in the supply chain through this project. Based on the historical emission data in the past three years and the Company’s future strategic planning, we will output the carbon emission inventory reports and carbon neutrality path planning reports for all the subsidiaries in the past three years, and formulate economically feasible low-carbon management targets and emission reduction plans. I believe that with the correct guidance of the Group and the efforts of various subsidiaries, we are sure to complete this meaningful work with high quality.
In order to implement the actions of saving energy, reducing carbon emission and increasing efficiency and strive to create a "low-carbon meeting”, most of the participants attended the kick-off meeting online. In this way, we tried to greatly reduce the CO2 emissions caused by personnel gathering.
In the context of the national "3060 Goal" policy, Changyuan Group will do a good job in the top-level design of "carbon peaking and carbon neutrality", actively promote the implementation of relevant carbon reduction measures, keep the strategic positioning unshakable, focus on key areas and links, create a green and low-carbon development path with Changyuan characteristics, and so as to promote the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development and build a harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
