On September 12, 2025, CYG SUNRI was awarded the IEC 61850 Ed2.1 Server UCA Class A Certification by TÜV SÜD, marking that the company’s technological R&D and commercialization capabilities in power automation have reached internationally advanced levels and providing strong support for its further expansion into the global market.
Yu Weiguo, Deputy Chief Engineer of CYG SUNRI, Zhou Junfeng, Deputy Director of the Platform Department at the R&D Center, Song Lei, Senior Manager of Industrial Product Division at TÜV SÜD Greater China, Yu Xiaolei, Senior Sales Executive, and other representatives attended the certification ceremony.
IEC 61850 is a key communication standard developed by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), providing efficient and reliable communication solutions for power system automation. The latest edition, Ed2.1, sets stricter requirements for smart grids and digital substations. Backed by over 30 years of industry expertise, strong R&D capabilities and a systematic testing and verification system, CYG SUNRI has ensured that its relevant devices achieve world-leading performance in core indicators including protocol consistency, system compatibility and long-term operational stability.
The overseas products certified this time cover 9 models, including busbar protection, line protection, circuit breaker protection, transformer protection, measurement and control devices, and multifunction fault recorders. Taking the PRS-7973 Multifunction Fault Recorder as an example, the product delivered outstanding performance in its first certification application, reflecting the company’s strong R&D and engineering capabilities in keeping pace with updated international standards.
Following the certification ceremony, the two parties held in-depth discussions in the conference room. TÜV SÜD spoke highly of CYG SUNRI’s professionalism and technical strength demonstrated throughout the certification process. Both sides look forward to further deepening cooperation to jointly promote the high-quality development of technological innovation and safe applications in the power industry.
