CYG SUNRI Contributes to the Successful Grid Connection in the Joint Commissioning of Two PV Energy Pilot Projects of State Grid Energy Saving Service Co., Ltd. in Xinjiang

Recently, the 10MW/20MWh project in Lop County, Hotan Prefecture, and the Phase I of the 4MW/8MWh energy storage project in Kalpin County, Aksu, both of which are owned by State Grid Energy Saving Co., Ltd., were successfully connected to the grid. As the EMS provider of the project, CYG SUNRI ensured the successful operation of the energy storage power stations with its high-quality products and high-efficiency services.

The 10MW/20MWh project in Lop County, Hotan Prefecture, and the Phase I of the 4MW/8MWh energy storage project in Kalpin County, Aksu, are among the first generation-side PV & energy storage pilot projects approved by Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission. The two projects are invested and constructed by State Grid Energy Saving Service Co., Ltd. After being putting into operation, the projects can solve the problem of wasted PV energy, smooth the output of PV power stations, increase the utilization hours of PV generator units, improve the power supply reliability and stability of regional power grid with auxiliary services of power market, and guarantee power supply at night and electric heating in winter in southern Xinjiang.

The energy storage projects in Lop County, Hotan Luopu and Kalpin County, Aksu are equipped with CYG SUNRI PRS-3000 energy storage power station monitoring and energy management system, box-type substation measurement and control equipment, grid-connected line protection equipment, and video auxiliary control equipment, etc. With the energy storage power station monitoring and energy management system, which is based on 61850, intelligent control over the stations can be realized, and the control performance is accurate to seconds. The system has the advanced functions such as SOC maintenance, diagnosis and early warning, and panoramic analysis, guaranteeing the continuous, efficient and stable operation of the energy storage power stations. The system supports the flexible arrangement of peak shaving and self-use of PV energy, and maximizes the economic benefits of joint operation of PV & energy storage.

After July 2019, when the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Development and Reform Commission issued a document on officially launching PV & energy storage pilot projects, CYG SUNRI carried out on-site investigation, and provided the owner with high-quality EMS technical solutions and implementation plans according to the characteristics of the projects, laying a solid foundation for later cooperation. At the project commissioning stage, the technical service staff of CYG SUNRI overcame many difficulties such as long distance, harsh environment, language barrier, irregular diet and complicated interfaces. In just one month, they complete the on-site interface commissioning, automatic commissioning and telecontrol commissioning, and actively cooperated with the owner, the general contractor and the power grid company to analyze the key nodes of the projects, so as to connect the energy storage power stations to the grid smoothly. Due to its great support for the projects, CYG SUNRI was highly recognized by the project owner and other parties.

The smooth grid connection of the energy storage projects in Lop County, Hotan and Kalpin County, Aksu once again demonstrates CYG SUNRI's leading position in the field of energy storage EMS. As a leading brand of smart application and customized services of new energy, CYG SUNRI will, as always, deliver and create value for customers with its best product quality, first-class technology and services.
