Recently, Zhejiang is in the peak of power consumption in midsummer. The Xiba Mobile Energy Storage Power Station of Yuhang Power Grid in Hangzhou has been formally connected to the grid, greatly relieving the power supply pressure of Yuhang Power Grid. As the provider of EMS and secondary complete equipment of the station, CYG SUNRI contributed to the successful power transmission of the power station with its high-quality products and high-efficiency work.
The Xiba Energy Storage Power Station of Hangzhou is an integrated energy pilot project of Yuhang Power Grid and the first grid-side mobile energy storage power station in Zhejiang. Located next to the 110kV substation, the station has the capacity of 2MW/4MWh and uses lithium iron phosphate batteries. It is connected to the grid through a 10kV line. After the power station is put into operation, it can provide various services for power grid operation, such as peak shaving, frequency modulation and emergency power supply. It can relieve local power supply pressure, give great support for meeting users' demand of electricity, and contribute to the further development of the local economy.
This project is equipped with advanced products of CYG SUNRI, such as PRS-3000 energy storage monitoring and energy management system, and PRS-3201B energy storage coordinated controller. The relevant products have passed the tests of authoritative institutions such as National Electric Power Research Institute and KETOP Laboratory, guaranteeing the continuous, efficient and stable operation of the power station. With diversified communication protocols and high-level interoperability, PRS-3000 energy storage monitoring and energy management system can realize panoramic data acquisition and control of the energy storage power station. AGC/AVC has the advantages of fast adjustment, high precision and good follow-up performance, and can realize sec-level follow-up time delay. While meeting the requirements of planned charging and discharging and AGC adjustments, the system supports active balanced management of battery pack SOC to ensure the charging and discharging capability of the power station. It also supports advanced functions such as diagnosis, early warning and panoramic analysis, thus it can effectively ensure the service life and safety of high-value assets of the energy storage station.
The PRS-3201B energy storage coordinated controller can collect voltage, current and frequency data independently, and has transient control functions such as dynamic reactive power regulation and primary frequency modulation. It has msec-level control of PCSs through GOOSE protocol, thus realizing unified and fast coordinated control of all PCSs in the station. Moreover, the energy storage coordinated controller has the function of power factor control, thus it can improve the power supply quality of the power grid.
The Xiba Energy Storage Power Station was constructed in a rainy season, and the bad weather greatly affected the project progress. CYG SUNRI’s project team was face with many difficulties during project construction, such as tight schedule and tough tasks. However, the team soldiered on and made concerted efforts. It actively communicated with the project owner to optimize the project scheme, make relevant preparations, and completed a series of arduous tasks such as equipment delivery and grid-connected commissioning within 40 odd days. It took only 13 days from installation and commissioning to smooth grid-connected operation. CYG SUNRI was highly recognized by the project owner for its high-quality products and efficient project implementation.
